I’m Lookin’ For A New Love

Just got paid, it’s Friday night
Party hopping, feeling fine…

I’m looking for a new love, baby…

Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree
I travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody’s looking for something

And this is mine. If ‘he’ could talk, he would say I’m your baby tonight!

Can I say Carrot Cake!

Who runs the world? Who runs this motha? ….
Doin it and doin it and doin it well….
What does the fox say?….
I could sing on and on… it!

Well Mrs. Chérie has done it again. Spoiled me with carrot cake. I entered a carrot cake coma last night 😳 haha She asked and delivered! I am lucky…No, blessed to have her as a mentor and co-worker. In the last 3 years I have learned so much from her. She has helped me see my strengths in this profession. The past week was stressful. She stood by my side through it all. Thank you and as her motto goes “Take care of yourself.”

Play Your Cards Right

I need x-y or z. So, I’ll take whatever I can get. Scratch that! I beg to differ. When it comes to dating and relationships, I want what I want and I’m gonna get what I want. Take that!

Ladies, Mr. Pitiful (Otis Redding) is not Mr. Right no matter how much they beg Baby I Need Your Loving ( Four Tops). Men, Stop! In The Name Of Love (The Supremes). You both know as well as I do, Something Just Ain’t Righ (Keith Sweat) and Once You Get Started (Rufus feat. Chaka Kahn), it’s hard to stop.

But you don’t understand, you say? Oh, no! I get it. It’s Complicated (Rihanna), you say? It’s Tricky (RUN DMC), yes. Not complicated at all.

So, don’t be Silly (Deniece Williams)! Play your cards right from the start!

What card are you going to play? When? Why?

I Don’t Know You!

You meet online. You like. You want to get to know them. So, how do you get to know someone? You exchange emails? No! You exchange phone numbers. You text. They text you back. You text, they text and you text back and forth. Why not call? ” I don’t know them!”, you say. Hmmm….

First comes love lust. Then, comes marriage sex and baby in a baby carriage meet the family and friends! Baby, come to me!! Sing it you two ( James Ingram & Patti Austin)! Let’s move in together?, they say. “I don’t know you like that!”, you say. R-i-g-h-t.

You know them. But, you don’t know-them know them.

So, again I ask how do you get to know someone?
